How big is the wash and fold bag?

The Model laundry bag is 20 gallons. That holds roughly 18 to 20 pounds of laundry, which is typically a week of clothes for one or two people. Pack it tight, but make sure the drawstring closes. If you have more laundry than fits in one bag, additional bags are available for $7.50 each.

What should NOT go in a wash and fold bag?

Dry-clean-only garments, suits, dress shirts that need pressing, formal wear, wedding dresses, wool sweaters that are not machine-washable, silk, lace, beaded items, leather, suede, fur, down comforters, pillows, and rugs should not go in the Wash, Dry & Fold bag. We clean all of these items, just as separate services with appropriate pricing.

How do you return my folded laundry?

Cleaned and folded laundry is returned in your original Model laundry bag. Pickup and delivery customers receive their order back at their door on the next scheduled service day. Drop-off customers pick up at the same location, with the bag ready to grab and go. Folded items stay neatly stacked so you can put them away quickly.

Are commercial machines really better than home washers?

Yes. Commercial-grade washers reach higher water temperatures than most home machines, which helps disinfect fabrics and remove deep-set odors and bacteria. They also have larger capacity, more powerful agitation, and faster spin cycles, so clothes come out cleaner with less moisture, drying faster and more thoroughly.

Send it

Members get a text the evening before their service day. Reply Y and set the bag out by 7:00 AM. Prefer to drop off? Any store during business hours, or a 24-hour drop box at select locations.

We wash it

Your bag is washed on its own, never mixed with another customer's order. We sort inside your bag to protect colors, dry to the fabric, and fold every item by hand.

It comes back

Same bag, folded and stacked, back at your door on your next route day or waiting at the store where you dropped it. Typically 2 to 3 business days. Members are charged on the card on file the day it is delivered.

How much does wash and fold cost at Model Cleaners?

Wash, Dry & Fold is $49 per 20-gallon bag at every Model Cleaners location. That flat rate covers washing, drying, and hand-folding. Additional Model laundry bags are $7.50 each. There is no added cost for pickup and delivery on Wash, Dry & Fold orders for Elite Pickup & Delivery Club members.

Join the Elite Pickup & Delivery Club. The evening before your service day you get a text. Reply with a Y, fill your bag, and set it outside your door by 7:00 AM. Your driver picks it up, we wash it at our facility, and it comes back to your door on the next service day for your route.

How long does wash and fold take?

Most Wash, Dry & Fold orders are finished in 2 to 3 business days. Pickup and delivery customers get their laundry back on the next scheduled service day for their route. Drop-off customers can usually collect their order within two days at the same store.

When and how am I charged?

Elite Pickup & Delivery Club members keep a credit or debit card on file, and it is charged the day your order is delivered. There is nothing to hand over at the door. Drop-off customers pay at the store when they collect their bag.

What can I put in a wash and fold bag?

Standard machine-washable items: t-shirts, jeans, casual pants, shorts, pajamas, sweatshirts, sweatpants, towels, washcloths, sheets, pillowcases, socks, underwear, workout clothes, and children's clothing. If you would normally run it at home on warm or cold, it belongs in the bag.

What should not go in the bag?

Is my laundry washed with other people's?

No. Every bag is washed as its own order, separate from other customers' laundry. We sort within your bag to protect colors and prevent bleeding, the same way you would at home, and everything comes back in the bag you sent it in.

Do you separate colors and whites?

Yes. Our team sorts inside your order before washing and dries each group at the temperature appropriate to the fabric. You do not need to pre-sort anything before you fill the bag.

Is wash and fold cheaper than doing laundry myself?

It depends what you count. The $49 covers detergent, water, electricity, wear on your machines, and the four to six hours a week most households spend washing, drying, and folding. For a lot of our customers the time is the whole reason, and the running costs are close enough that it stops being the deciding factor.

Can I drop off wash and fold at any Model Cleaners location?

Can I add wash and fold to a dry cleaning order?

Yes, and most of our members do. Send Wash, Dry & Fold alongside dry cleaning, alterations, or household items in one pickup or one drop-off. We sort everything and process each item through the correct service, then it all comes back together.
