How much do alterations cost at Model Cleaners?
Pricing depends on the type of alteration and the complexity of the work. Simple hems are quick and affordable, while detailed work like suit alterations or custom resizing is priced based on the project. Bring your garment to any Model Cleaners location for a personalized quote, or contact us to discuss your project before drop-off.
How long do clothing alterations take?
Most standard alterations are completed within one to two weeks. Rush service may be available at certain locations for an additional charge. Complex tailoring projects can take longer, depending on the scope of the work. We will give you a clear timeline at drop-off so you know exactly when to expect your garment back.
Do I need an appointment for alterations?
No appointment is required for alterations. You can drop off your garment at any of our ten Model Cleaners locations during business hours. Please bring your garment along with the measurements needed for the requested alterations. Model Cleaners does not provide fittings or take measurements.
Can you do alterations and dry cleaning at the same time?
Yes. Many of our customers drop off garments for both services in one visit, which is one of the biggest conveniences of using Model Cleaners. Tell us at drop-off, and your garment will be cleaned and altered before being returned to you. This saves you time and an extra trip.
Can you fix or replace a broken zipper?
Yes. Zipper repair and replacement is one of our most common alteration requests. We can replace zippers in pants, jackets, dresses, skirts, and luggage. Pricing varies based on zipper length, garment type, and the complexity of installation.
Can you take in or let out a suit jacket?
Yes. Our experienced tailors can make suit jacket alterations based on the measurements you provide, including taking in the waist, adjusting the chest and shoulders, shortening sleeves, and modifying the length. Model Cleaners does not provide fittings or take measurements, so please bring your garment with the measurements needed for the requested alterations.
Do you offer pickup and delivery for alterations?
Yes. Our Elite Pickup and Delivery service includes alterations along with dry cleaning and Wash, Dry, and Fold laundry. Schedule pickup by text, leave your garments at the door, and we will return them after your alterations are complete. There is no added cost for pickup and delivery on eligible orders.
